A Decadence edition of
The SHOWDOWN TALENT CONTEST upstairs at The Bourbon Pub / Parade.
Contest is open to anyone with talent ... dancing, singing, drag,
stripping, kissing ... whatever your talent, if you're good at it, come
show us. Plus the famous "Banana Sucking Contest" ... now that's
real talent. Cash prizes. Tiffany Alexander is the emcee,
sponsored by Ketel One Vodka and Crown Royal.

The Grand Marshals' KICKOFF TO SOUTHERN DECADENCE 2009 upstairs at The Bourbon
Pub / Parade, with performances by many of the prior years' Grand
Marshals. This event is a benefit for United Services for
AIDS, and is the official start of New Orleans' largest gay party
weekend.

DICK CONTEST -- THE "OFFICIAL" KICKOFF to Southern
Decadence. Fasten your seatbelts as Chi Chi LaRue, the Diva of Decadence, returns to
reign over the festivities. The iconic adult film director and
bon vivant is a permanent fixture at Southern Decadence, and will be
your hostess all weekend at The Bourbon Pub / Parade. Chi Chi is
joined for 2009 by
SISTER
ROMA from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

With her glitzy outfits, sky-high wigs, and false eyelashes long
enough to embarrass even Tammy Faye Bakker, multi-talented drag artiste
Lady Bunny would turn heads even if looking glamorous was her only talent.
But this isn’t just another man in a dress: Bunny is a successful
comedienne, emcee, singer, songwriter, actress and DJ. She blew the
roof off of The Bourbon Pub with her sold-out performances in 2006, 2007
and 2008.
She returns for 2009,
with an outrageous hour-long stage performance upstairs at The Bourbon
Pub. Chi Chi LaRue provides commentary.

SOUTHERN DECADENCE PARADE led by the Grand Marshals. The
traditional starting point is the Golden Lantern. While there is an
official parade route, the Grand Marshal may make a few unexpected detours, although
not as frequently as in years past. Most parade participants will
eventually make it to the vicinity of The Bourbon Pub. Free. |
